collectingsystems is an experienced partner specialising in the development and production of containers for used clothing collection, as well as individual housings and steel solutions.
Since our foundation, we have developed into a versatile service provider and supplier over the years. Together with our customers, we work on the development of prototypes through to series production, offering a wide range of services such as conceptualisation, design, production and logistics.
Since 2017, we have been producing in our own state-of-the-art production facility in Poland to ensure the highest quality, flexibility and reliability. Our many years of experience in container construction for used clothing collection and constant technical developments guarantee punctual deliveries and satisfied customers.

The history of our company
2008
collectingsystems was founded by Dirk Gänsbauer with the aim of further developing and manufacturing used clothing containers in line with technical progress, both functionally and visually. Dirk brought more than 20 years of experience in the clothing and used clothing industry to his new company.
2009
The development of the Collecting Box Classic (CBC) was an important milestone for collectingsystems. The CBC featured numerous innovations in the area of used clothing containers, such as:

March 2010
The first delivery of a Collection Box Classic (CBC) from the former production facility near Timisoara in Romania was successfully completed.
February 2011
In 2011, collectingsystems was transformed into GmbH to put the company on a solid legal footing. This transformation allowed collectingsystems to run its business in a clear and formalised structure, which enabled the company to improve its business processes and optimise its growth strategies.
December 2011
A significant milestone was the first labelling of used clothing containers with a design requested by the customer. This innovation enables customers to customise and creatively design their containers in order to promote their brand. Production was already being carried out in the new production facility by the then production partner Partner Systems in Poland.
January 2013
The first successful delivery of the Collecting Box Classic (CBC) in cooperation with the then production partner in Zielona Gora (Poland). The co-operation with this partner made it possible to further expand production capacities and offer customers a greater variety of high-quality products and services. At the same time, the company also switched from wet painting to powder coating the containers.
June 2013
The first production of the Collecting Box City (CBCity) for the tender of the city of Hanover was carried out. The CBCity is an innovative and compact solution for the installation of used clothing containers in urban areas with limited space, without creating a visual obstacle. With this solution, municipal authorities and organisations have been able to optimise their collection systems and offer their citizens an efficient and convenient way to donate their clothing and textiles.
October 2013
In October 2013, collectingsystems moved to a new office building at the address Am Stadtweg 2 in Stammham. At the same time, Ms Angela Kistler started in her role as sales assistant, where she is still responsible for delivery coordination and accounting.
November 2013
collectingsystems has received the coveted DEKRA "Tested Safety" certificate for its used clothing containers Collection Box Classic (CBC) and Collection Box City (CBCity). This certificate confirms that the CBC and CBCity meet the highest safety standards and offer customers a safe and reliable collection solution for used clothing.
April 2014
In April 2014, Michaela Hintze started her journey at collectingsystems as a mini-jobber during her studies. She quickly demonstrated her commitment and skills, which led to her being hired as a management assistant in February 2016. There she supported the company in many areas and contributed significantly to its success. Due to her outstanding commitment and understanding of the industry, she was appointed Managing Partner in 2019 and has been a key pillar of the company ever since.
June 2014
The first CS Gitterbox XL has been successfully delivered to customers. This special pallet cage is an innovative solution for the efficient transport and storage of groupage goods. The space-saving design is particularly noteworthy: up to six collapsed pallet cages can be stacked and transported efficiently.
March 2015
A special container production for Texaid Switzerland was successfully delivered. Texaid is one of the largest textile recyclers in Europe and relies on the proven quality of collectingsystems's collection containers for the collection of used clothing. The special containers were manufactured specifically to Texaid's requirements and once again emphasise collectingsystems's high level of flexibility and technical expertise in individual customer service.
April 2015
Introduction of the reinforced locking latch. The improved closure ensures greater security and stability of the collection containers and prevents unwanted opening by unauthorised persons or tampering. With the innovative improvement of the closure system, collectingsystems once again emphasises its pioneering role in the development of safe and efficient collection containers for the textile recycling industry.
July 2015
Delivery of the first Shoebox XL from collectingsystems. The Shoebox XL is a collection container specially developed for the collection of shoes, which is particularly suitable for use in public places thanks to its size and ergonomic handles.
September 2015
September 2015 saw the start of production of the Core 360° readout units, which are used for the Danish deposit return system DRS (Dansk Retour System) and the DPG (Deutsche Pfand Gesellschaft), among others. The Core 360° readout unit is one of the core technologies for reverse vending machines of all kinds.
November 2016
Team Steel Sp.z.o.o. was founded. This new production facility in Poland was to take over the production of used clothing containers and the expansion of collectingsystems's range in the area of housing construction and intelligent steel solutions. At the same time, the lease of the production facility in Zielona Gora, which is still under construction, was agreed. With this strategic decision, collectingsystems has secured its own production facility and thus improved control over the production chain.
April 2017
Just a few months after the company was founded, production started in the new halls of Team Steel Sp.z.o.o. in Zielona Gora. With its own production facility in Poland, collectingsystems was now able to guarantee higher quality and faster delivery times. The new production site has also created more jobs, which has benefited the region.
May 2017
Development of a new used clothing container with e-waste collection facilities for City Green Point. This container offers customers an additional option for disposing of their electronic waste conveniently and safely. By integrating an e-waste collection facility into the used clothing container, a space-saving and efficient solution for the collection of various recycling products has been created.
May 2017
collectingsystems presented the current programme at the trade association conference on textile recycling. The latest developments were presented at the event, including the used clothing container with a concealed flap to prevent access and used clothing containers with an electronic lock.
October 2017
The first delivery of the housing for a GasTauschAutomaten (GTA) was realised. The GTA enables customers to exchange, purchase or return gas cylinders around the clock and thus offers a fully automated solution for the issue and return of all standard 5kg, 8kg and 11kg propane gas cylinders made of steel and aluminium.
January 2019
Further development of the lockmatec electronic lock. The lock makes it possible to lock and open the used clothing container easily and securely. The new development has made the lock even more robust and resistant to tampering attempts. The lockmatec lock therefore offers improved protection against theft and vandalism.
July 2020
First delivery of housings for air purifiers in two different sizes. The air purifiers are not only technically comfortable and health-promoting, but also allow you to choose between the unobtrusive standard design or customised labelling of the housing.
August 2021
In August 2021, production was relocated to a larger and more modern production facility. This allowed capacity to be increased and production to be expanded flexibly in the future. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has been able to record steady growth and maintain a good mix of loyal customers and acquire new ones.
September 2021
Start of series production of wall and ceiling panels for cleanrooms. The panels are made from high-quality materials and fulfil the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. The panel systems are used in various sectors, such as the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and electronics industries.
May 2023
Taking the tried and tested one step further. The newly developed Collecting Box Wave was presented at the 10th International bvse Used Textile Day and has the same body as the successful Collecting Box Classic model, but has been extended to include the innovative throw-in area. Instead of a flap, there is a metal curtain that can only be moved into the inside of the container, making it much more difficult to fish out goods. The chute has also been narrowed, making it almost impossible to get into the container. Nevertheless, standard bags of used clothing can be thrown in without any problems.
August 2023
Introducing our new Ecoline powder coating system. This state-of-the-art addition redefines efficiency, precision and sustainability and speeds up production processes while maintaining the highest quality standards. It offers customised solutions, fast colour changes and optimal powder application, supported by a strong commitment to the environment. With an extension spanning more than 1200 m², we are ready to utilise the new powder coating facility and the opportunities it brings.
September 2023
We are delighted to introduce Mathias Guggenbichler as our new co-owner and Managing Director for the Industrial Products division. Having worked with renowned companies such as Microsoft, Shpock and Bitpanda, Mathias is no stranger to innovation and strategic growth. In addition, Mathias has been a consultant for collectingsystems since December 2022 and played a key role in redesigning our website and improving our digital presence.
January 2024
A significant milestone on our journey towards sustainability at our production facility in Nowa Sol (Poland). Through our collaboration with Red Shaw, the switch to 100% green energy from renewable sources from Respect Energy and the installation of photovoltaic panels on our halls, we have managed to completely offset our carbon emissions! Our commitment has not only reduced our environmental impact, but has also positioned us as a pioneer in the metals industry for the transition to green energy.
May 2024
Each of our Collecting Box Containers can now be ordered in the "A container for our climate!" version, which means that every purchase of a used clothing container contributes directly to the fight against climate change and the promotion of social development. By working with Redshaw Advisors, a leading carbon footprint management company, we ensure that the CO2 emissions generated by our containers are offset. In doing so, we support the "Improved Cooking Centres for Central America" project, which directly impacts the lives of many people.
July 2024
New era of precision and efficiency at collectingsystems! We are pleased to present our new addition: the state-of-the-art V series CNC stud welding machine from Bolte. This machine enables us to realise even more precise and complex projects for our customers in even less time.
August 2024
Successful commissioning of our new air-conditioned high-bay warehouse for powder coating. This warehouse offers an impressive 300 m³ and maintains a constant temperature of 21°C to optimise the quality and efficiency of our powder coating processes.
January 2025
Our latest highlight in the machine portfolio: the Seron Machining Centre Ad Maker. This state-of-the-art CNC solution was specially developed for the highest demands in advertising technology, plastics processing and light metal processing and is ideal for use in housing construction, e.g. for sound insulation, cardboard prototypes, silicone trays, unusual shapes and much more.
May 2025
Strengthening our sheet metal processing with the RAS TURBO 2 plus folding machine. With this addition to our three existing AMADA press brakes, we are expanding our production capacities in a targeted manner - with precision, efficiency and flexibility.
