Flexible use for transport and storage

This CS Gitterbox XL is an innovative solution for the efficient transport and storage of up to 5.5m³ of consolidated goods. Examples include the storage of non-pressed export clothing or the feeding of sorting centres.

The space-saving design is particularly noteworthy: up to six folded pallet cages can be stacked and transported efficiently.

The sides of the product are made of 5mm thick mesh and are additionally reinforced with a cross reinforcement made of square tubing. This ensures a high level of stability and load-bearing capacity. The fork shoes have a standard internal spacing of 72cm (can be changed on request) and therefore offer a universal fit for different types of forklift trucks. The floor can be selected as either a fixed floor or a grid floor, depending on requirements.

For reusable use, the product is equipped with a quick assembly folding system and is quick and easy to assemble with just 10 screws. The assembly time is therefore a maximum of 15 minutes. In addition, the front of the CS Gitterbox XL can be folded down using a hinge system (70 cm high in each case) or removed completely, as it is fixed to the side walls with just 4 bolts.

Tested quality according to DIN EN 13626

Based on the load and boundary conditions specified in DIN EN 13626, the following load cases, among others, were taken into account:

  • Testing the deflection of the floor
  • Stacking test with forklift truck

Other load cases were also analysed, such as

  • Empty the mesh box by turning it 180°
  • Wind load test for using the mesh box outdoors

To calculate the CS Gitterbox XL, an FEM model was created and subjected to the prescribed loads. The deformations, strains and stresses in the CS Gitterbox XL were then calculated with the finite element method using the "Siemens NX 9" software.

The evaluation criteria on which the DIN EN 13626 standard is based have also been used to evaluate the results of the finite element simulation. According to this, failure of the lattice box can be virtually ruled out.

Individuality through design

The CS Gitterbox XL is powder-coated in the standard colour RAL 5009 azure blue. Other RAL colours are available at an extra charge.
